• Our first deliveries leave our office at 7:15 A.M. – So call us until 17:30 P.M. the evening before you need the equipment,
• or before 7:15 A.M. the same morning – And you will be serviced on our first batch of deliveries.
• Our second set of deliveries generally departs around 10:00 A.M.
• Afternoon deliveries should be ordered before 12:00 P.M.
• We understand that you occasionally encounter emergencies; we will do our best to help you out in these situations.
• Please help us out when you have routine requirements.

SUBROGATION OF WAIVER (What is it & Who is covered) NOT OFFERED ON SUB-RENTALS
Charge account customers who have chosen Waiver on their credit application are covered. It is legal terminology which indicates that we and out insurers, in exchange for a fee, give up the right to seek legal damages to recover our losses for certain types of theft, damage or loss of equipment. The lessee agrees to pay 12.9% of the rental rate, for Renunciation of Subrogation fire/theft, until the lessee provides written proof of sufficient insurance coverage for all rented equipment, acceptable to A-1 Rent-A-Tool Inc.

WHAT IS COVERED?
Equipment theft from break-in from a locked, secured premises, provided a police report is made not later than the first working day following the theft, and the police report number is supplied to us as soon as the report has been made.
Equipment that cannot be stored indoors is covered, providing that responsible security precautions have been taken to secure them, the least of which is securing them to something permanent with a heavy chain and padlock. Same police procedures as above apply.
Loss or  damage by fire, subject to 3rd party exception, as stated below.
ALL CLAIMS are subject to a deductible of 15% of the replacement value of the equipment, minimum $450.00

WHAT IS NOT COVERED?
Mysterious disappearance, inventory shortage, assumed theft, loss or damage caused by, or due to actions of 3rd parties, not in the employ of lessee.
Theft of equipment while in the custody of employees while working with said equipment is not insured for theft, unless stolen from locked premises, with the above stated exceptions.
Theft or damage to equipment during transport, including theft or damage caused to tow-able equipment while in transit, or due to overturning.
Loss or theft of equipment left unattended while in custody of an employee, or in a parked vehicule.
Damages caused to our equipment by motorized equipment, vehicles, or machinery.
Damages caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, lack of lubrication, improper voltage, or overloading, lack of inflation of tires or damages caused by the conditions of work
Damages caused by use or operation, in violation of the rental contract, construction safety acts, or building codes.
Damages caused by wear items, such as hammer tools, core bits, diamond blades and bits, etc…
Loss or damage caused by infidelity of employees, or sub trade employees.
We reserve the right to cancel the Waiver of Subrogation for any client, at any time, without reason, by giving written notice of same.

OUR POLICY:

Hours:
Monday to Friday:  6:30 A.M.  To 17:30 P.M.
Saturdays: 8:00 A.M To 12:00 noon (Laval location only)
Sundays and holidays: Closed

Rental day: ends 24 hours later, except for weekends, when posted weekends and holidays rates apply.

Overtime: half a day is charged for first four (4) hours overtime or parts thereof, full day is charged if overtime exceeds four (4) hours, full day is charged if overtime is overnight.

Rental Rates: are F.O.B. our premises and do not include the following: delivery charges, waiver of subrogation, supplied fuels, lubricants, tire repairs, cleaning or repair charges for equipment returned damaged, or in need of cleaning.

Lessee Responsibility: Lessee is responsible for proper maintenance and supply of necessary lubricants and fuel for leased equipment, proper voltage supply for electrical equipment and proper air supply for any heating equipment. Lessee must supply full insurance coverage.

***IMPORTANT***
You are responsible for missing equipment when you leave a job before a pick-up has been made and leave the equipment unattended. Call early for a pick-up and specify that you are gambling and leaving before a pick-up. Call the next morning to verify that everything was returned in good order. We try our best, but sometimes pick-ups are delayed.

Your responsibility for all rental charges, damage to, and the security of the equipment continues until it’s possession is physically transferred back to A1 Rent-A-Tool Inc., A telephone call to our office requesting a pick-up does not reduce or remove your responsibility or liability toward the rented equipment.

Be sure to ask for an off rent number: this computer generated number records the time and date of your call, and prevents any possible errors or misunderstandings.
